Bawburgh: St Mary & St Walstan

Church Street Bawburgh Norwich
01603 744551

Our round tower Church is set above the River Yare looking down on the village of Bawburgh.

The congregation is open and welcoming and our style of services reflect this. A children's area is provided.

Pilgrims have been visiting the church and St.Walstan's well for nearly 1000 years.   St. Walstan's day is celebrated in May each year with a festival service and the blessing of the well. Please note: sadly neither St Mary's & St Walstan's Church, nor the Diocese of Norwich, own the land upon which the holy Well is situated. The Well is located behind the Church within private gardens owned by a neighbouring home. Visitors in small numbers are welcome to visit the Well. Please treat the area with respect and close the gate behind you. If you wish to visit the Well in a group larger than four, please contact the Rector so this can be arranged with the Well owner.

Church news and services can be found on the Bawburgh Village website www.bawburghvillage.co.uk
